THE SERVICES WE PROVIDE.
We provide preventative medicine and wellness care for our feline and canine patients to keep them as healthy as possible
Services include: wellness physical examinations, vaccinations, microchipping, nail trims, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, parasite prevention suggestions, diet counseling
We perform many soft tissue surgical procedures in our state of the art surgical suite. We use Sevoflurane anesthesia (also used in most human hospitals), as well as pain medicine protocols that are individually chosen for each patient. All of our patients receive intravenous fluids during procedures, and they are monitored closely by one of our highly trained assistants. This includes continuous heart rate with ECG monitoring, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry and blood pressure monitoring on every patient.
We have a class 3B cold therapy laser. Cold therapy laser is a low-intensity laser treatment that reduces inflammation and promotes healing. This type of treatment helps a wide array of problems, including chronic conditions such as arthritis pain, intervertebral disc disease, and cystitis (inflammation of the bladder and urinary tract), as well as more acute conditions such as wounds/burns, ear infections, and skin inflammation. We also use the laser after every surgery and dental procedure to promote healing and speed up recovery time.
We provide routine dental care for our patients. Every dental prophylaxis also receives full mouth radiographs (x-rays), just like you have done when you visit your dentist. With these radiographs, we are able to determine the health of the entire tooth, including what’s hidden underneath the gumline. We also provide oral surgery services for those patients needing dental extractions.
Our in-house laboratory is fully equipped so that we can run diagnostics and give you results in minutes, if need be. We also use Idexx labs, which has a large array of diagnostic tests available. An Idexx courier picks up our samples twice daily, so we can usually have results within 12 to 24 hours on most tests.
We have in-house digital radiology equipment. This means that if your pet needs radiographs (x-rays) taken, we can generally do them immediately, while you wait. This also means that we will have digital images within seconds. Those images can be sent to a Veterinary radiologist for further review, or sent on to specialists if your pet needs a referral.
Most of our staff has gone through extensive training in Fear Free practices. We utilize techniques to try to minimize fear in our patients and make each experience as positive as possible.
